Accessibility statement

The Nexclick aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website. This page says what has been done, what has been tested, and what is still outstanding.

Last updated 28 July 2026

1. What we are aiming for

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard UK public sector bodies are held to, and it is a reasonable bar for a commercial site whose business is building websites for other people.

Accessibility work was part of the build rather than a retrofit. The colour palette was chosen against measured contrast ratios, not adjusted afterwards when something failed.

2. What has been built in

  • Colour contrast. Body text measures 18:1 against the page background. The yellow accent measures 10.1:1 on the dark background. Because that same yellow only reaches 1.78:1 on the light background — a clear failure — a darker variant at 7.2:1 is used instead wherever yellow appears as text in light mode.
  • Keyboard operation. Everything is reachable and operable by keyboard, including the navigation menus and the multi-step enquiry form. Focus is always visible as a 2px ring with an offset, and it is never removed.
  • A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Semantic structure. Proper landmarks, one h1 per page, and heading levels that descend without skipping.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label, errors appear as text tied to the field with aria-describedby, and no error is signalled by colour alone.
  • Motion. The site respects prefers-reduced-motion. Animation is switched off rather than shortened, and the animated accent line renders in its finished state instantly.
  • Zoom and reflow. The layout works at 200% zoom and down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling or loss of content. Wide tables scroll within their own container rather than pushing the page sideways.
  • Target size. Interactive controls are at least 44×44px.
  • Expandable content. FAQ answers use native browser disclosure controls, so screen reader and keyboard behaviour is the browser's rather than something we reimplemented.

3. What is not done yet

Stated plainly, because a statement that claims everything is perfect is not useful:

  • A full audit with assistive technology — NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver — is scheduled for the final QA pass before launch. Until that is complete, this page describes intent backed by build decisions, not a certified result.
  • The booking calendar is a third-party embed. Its accessibility is largely outside our control; we will test it and, if it falls short, provide a fully accessible alternative route to the same outcome.
  • Sections of the site are still being written. Each is tested as it ships rather than all at the end.

4. If something does not work

Tell us. Email info@thenexclick.com or call +44 7577 316553, describing what you were trying to do and what happened. Include your browser and any assistive technology if you can — it makes the problem much faster to find.

We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to fix genuine barriers rather than explain them away. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.

5. If we do not resolve it

If you are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service provides free advice on rights under the Equality Act 2010 and can be contacted at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
