Process
How work runs at The Nexclick
Every engagement at The Nexclick runs through four stages: diagnose what is actually wrong, write a plan with numbers against it, build in fortnightly blocks with visible output, then measure monthly and change course where the data says to. No proposal is written before the diagnosis.
The four stages
What happens, and when
Numbered because it genuinely is sequential — the plan cannot be written before the diagnosis, and there is nothing to measure before the build.
- 01Week 1–2
Diagnose
We look at what is actually happening: analytics, rankings, ad accounts, the site itself, and what your competitors are doing. No proposal before this, because a proposal written without it is guesswork.
- 02Week 2–3
Plan
A written plan with priorities, timescales and a number against each. You see exactly what is being done and in what order, and you can push back before anyone starts work.
- 03Week 3 onwards
Build
The work happens in fortnightly blocks with visible output at the end of each. Nothing disappears into a black box for two months.
- 04Monthly, ongoing
Measure
A report on what moved, what did not, and what changes next month as a result. Enquiries and revenue where we can attribute them, not just impressions.
What you get
Every month, without asking
- A report showing what was done, what changed, and what happens next — written in English, not exported from a tool and forwarded.
- A live dashboard you can open any day of the month rather than waiting for the report.
- A call to go through it, at whatever frequency your retainer includes.
- Direct access to the person doing the work, by email or phone, between calls.
What we ask of you
Four things, honestly
- Access to your analytics, Search Console and ad accounts. Without them we are guessing, and guessing is expensive.
- A named decision-maker who can approve copy. Content stuck in a review queue is the single most common cause of a slipped timeline.
- Honesty about what has been tried before, including the things that went badly. It saves everyone repeating them.
- Patience with the parts that are genuinely slow. Search results move over months, not weekends.
Questions
What people ask before starting
How much of my time will this take?
Roughly four hours in the first fortnight — a kick-off call, a session getting us access to your accounts, and reviewing the plan. After that, an hour a month for the report call, plus whatever time you want to spend reviewing content before it goes live.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
The person who does the work. The Nexclick is small enough that there is no account manager layer relaying questions to a delivery team. If you ask why a page was written a certain way, you are asking the person who wrote it.
What happens if the plan is not working?
We say so in the monthly report rather than waiting for you to notice. Some things do not work — a keyword turns out to be harder than the data suggested, a channel does not convert. The useful response is to change direction early, not to keep reporting activity.
Do you work with our existing developer or agency?
Frequently. It is common for The Nexclick to handle search or AI work while another team owns the site build. It works when everyone knows who owns what. We will ask for that in writing at the start so nobody is stepping on anybody.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within two weeks of a signed scope. Urgent work — a suspended Google Business Profile, a site knocked out by a migration, malware — jumps the queue, because those cost money every day they are unresolved.
Tell us what you are trying to fix
A 20-minute call, no pitch deck. The Nexclick will tell you what we would do, roughly what it costs, and whether we are the right people for it.
