Rebuilding local search for a three-surgery dental practice
Three profiles, three different addresses on file, and two of them competing for the same searches. The work was mostly untangling rather than building.
Format template — not a real client
ILLUSTRATIVE rather than a number. The page is noindex, emits no Article schema, and is excluded from the sitemap and the home page. The situation
What we walked into
The practice had grown by acquisition. Each surgery had inherited a Google Business Profile set up by whoever owned it before, with inconsistent names, an old phone number still live on two directories, and category choices that did not match what the surgeries actually offered. Patients searching for one location were being shown another twenty minutes away.

What we did
In order, with dates
- 01
Week 1
Audited all three profiles and every citation
Found conflicting NAP data across directories, including two entries pointing at a practice address the group had left.
- 02
Weeks 2–4
Consolidated and corrected
Merged duplicate listings, corrected categories per surgery, and rewrote service listings so each location described what it actually offered.
- 03
Weeks 4–8
Built location pages that were genuinely different
One page per surgery with its own team, opening hours, parking and transport notes, and treatment mix — not a find-and-replace.
- 04
Ongoing from week 6
Set up a review workflow the reception team could run
A request sent after treatment, with response templates that read like a person wrote them.

Honestly
What we would do differently
The review workflow should have gone in first, not sixth. It was the change that reception felt immediately, and getting an early win from the team would have made the rest of the project easier to push through.
